Hand dyed calf leather belt.
The hand dyed belt is an elegant and unique accessory made entirely in Italy by a craft leather factory opened in 1962.
The high quality of the material together with the care in the workmanship make the belt resistant but soft. This makes the belt suitable for everyone and durable over time. Each belt have 15 different production steps from the leather to finish product.
The processing begins with the cut of the front stripes and lining of the belt. The front strips are dyed by hand and this makes each belt unique with its differents shades. Then, the front and lining are stripped to give shape to the belt and attached to each other manually with water based glue. The following steps are the trimming to make the edges smooth and regular and the die cutting, in which the shape of the tip and the end part of the belt are created. Then, we proceed with the dyeing of the edgeswhich takes place in 4 steps, followed by the seam stitching and the die cutting and dyeing of the holes.
The artisan performs a manual treatment to obtain a two-tone-effect on the front of the belt. Finally the marking is carried out inside the lining and a final check is made.
